Heart for Romania
Over the last few months we have been able to send out supplies to a kindergarden in a village in Romania. Tim Poole who heads up the charity has just come back from a trip there with some of the local lads from Leatherhead, and has seen for himself the nursery in action.
He said they are thrilled with the toys and equipment we sent out. They had nothing prior to that, other than a building, some teachers and 40 or so children!!
He specifically asked them if there was more they needed and has given us a list to see if we would like to gather more for them. The Kindergarden caters for children 2 1/2 to 7 year olds before they go to school.
The list is fairy simple, so please donate what you can:
Playdo,
Wooden Toys,
Solid Plastic Toys - animals, cars etc
Crayons,
Paint/brushes
Musical Toys,
Sports Equipment - balls, bats
Simple teaching aids, clock..etc
A parachute would be great!
He also said a dream for them would be to acquire a simple small photocopier - Wouldn't it be wonderful to raise enough money to buy them a photocopier!
If you have any old mobile phones you no longer need then please donate them as they can be sold in Romania and the money can help families to buy food and essential items.
